As part of the Electoral Support Programme, a process for monitoring the implementation of electoral promises was launched in 16 municipalities across North Macedonia.
Civil society organizations participating in the process began monitoring the implementation of selected promises at the local level, with the aim of contributing to greater accountability and transparency of local authorities and encouraging citizens’ participation in monitoring local policies.
The monitoring process runs until June 2027, with civil society organizations regularly collecting and publishing information on progress in the implementation of the electoral promises being monitored.
The activity forms part of the Electoral Support Programme’s efforts to strengthen citizen participation and accountability at the local level.
