Youth friendly municipality
This initiative will monitor the establishment of a Local Youth Council in the municipality of Strumica as a representative body of young people and responsible for youth policies creation and promotion, as well as for enhanced participation of young people in the policy creation and decision-making processes at the local level. This promise was made during the 2021 elections. Community mobilization activities will include: mapping the local actors and specifying the reasons why electoral promises are not fulfilled; barometer for youth participation in the municipality of Strumica; public awareness campaign aimed for young people; policy brief – recommendations to tackle the problem; round table with the municipality leadership.
The subject matter of the local monitoring refers to the activities taken by the municipality to establish the Local Youth Council.
