Progress review and peer-learning workshop for participants in the Fifth generation of the Academy for Public Policy (APP): Strengthening policy initiatives - Writing, communicating and advocating for policy change

Last weekend in Tetovo, we held the final workshop for the Fifth generation of the Academy for Public Policy, organized through the Swiss Electoral Support Programme in North Macedonia. During the two-day program, participants worked on advancing their public policy initiatives, focusing specifically on translating research findings into clear, evidence-based policy documents, as well as effectively communicating and advocating for their proposed solutions to relevant decision-makers and the broader public. Moving forward, the Academy enters its concluding phase, which will involve continued individual work with each participant to implement their initiatives and finalize their policy documents. The goal is to translate the knowledge and skills acquired during the Academy into concrete proposals, grounded in the needs of citizens, that have the potential to improve public services and the quality of life within local communities.
