During a public cycling event in Tetovo, partner civil society organization For Tetovo conducted a short survey with citizens to assess their awareness of the municipal bicycle subsidy programme, as part of activities supported by the Electoral Support Programme.
The survey showed strong interest among citizens in the measure, while also indicating that only a small number were aware of its existence. The findings highlighted the importance not only of adopting and implementing local measures, but also of communicating them effectively to citizens.
The activity provided an opportunity to directly gather citizens’ views and experiences and translate them into concrete monitoring findings.
By supporting such activities, the Electoral Support Programme contributes to greater citizen involvement in monitoring electoral promises and to more transparent and accountable local governance.
