With the third module entitled “Democratic Environmental Governance & Youth Leadership”, we have successfully completed the first phase of the fifth generation of the Academy for Public Policy, a segment dedicated to strengthening the knowledge and capacities of young political leaders. Over the past weekend, participants had the opportunity to discuss green policies, biodiversity, waste management and the role of youth in creating sustainable environmental policies. Through interactive sessions, practical assignments and discussions with experts, the young politicians improved their skills in critical thinking, argumentation and public advocacy.
In the next phase of the Academy, which will be implemented in the second half of the year, participants will have the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge in practice through the development of public policy documents and the implementation of innovative initiatives in their communities. The process will culminate in the promotion of concrete solutions, prepared by the participants themselves, as a contribution to more sustainable and inclusive local development.
