The event is organized in partnership with Macedonian Women Lobby within the framework of Electoral Support Programme financed by the Government of Switzerland.

The panel discussion aims to present the Code of Conduct, addressing concerns related to violence against women involved in politics and the electoral process, which pose serious obstacles to women’s political participation. Additionally, the panel will encourage discussion on the Code’s recommendations to acknowledge violence against women in politics and the electoral process as a significant negative phenomenon affecting the political participation of both women and men.

The second part of the event will be dedicated to a discussion among representatives of political parties on the best approaches for implementing the Code as a means to contribute to a safe and equitable political environment. This will ensure that women’s political participation is free from any form of violence and serves as a foundation for inclusive policymaking.
