Discussion: Foreign Direct Investment in Macedonia: Dream or Reality?

As part of the Innovative Initiative “Foreign Direct Investment in Macedonia: Dream or Reality?”, The community mobilizer Filip Ivanovski organizes a public event (discussion) which will be held on 1.12.2021 at Woodstock Café.

The event will encourage discussion on the importance of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to society, analyze the relationship between FDI and trade, present a comparative FDI analysis for the Western Balkans, and discuss security as a key factor for attracting new FDI. The results of the survey on public awareness of FDI in Macedonia, conducted by the holder of this project Filip Ivanovski in August, will be presented.

After the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity for an informal cocktail party.

We would be honored if you come and actively participate in the discussion!

For those who want to be a part but do not have the opportunity to travel to Skopje, you can get involved and follow the event via live streaming on Facebook. More information about the live broadcast will be announced a few days before the event.

Speakers:

  1. Filip Ivanovski – Community mobilizer that monitors the Government in terms of attracted foreign direct investment in Macedonia
  2. David Saltamarski – PhD student in Economics at the University “Kliment Ohridski” Bitola, attended a master’s degree at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic
  3. Sterjo Papuli – Master of Economic Diplomacy at the Academy of Economics in Bucharest, Romania and former intern at the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in Bucharest
  4. Kristijan Micevski – Political scientist in global and American politics at the University of London, representative of the business sector in the United Kingdom

Moderator:

Stefan Vasilevski, moderator with many years of experience in the field of policy making in the youth sector, health and international relations

* The event will be organized according to all protocols and restrictions for protection and security by Covid 19 and will be intended for an audience of 25 people.

** The working language of the round table will be Macedonian.
