As part of the ongoing joint cooperation, IFES provided support to the State Election Commission (SEC) in conducting a Capacity Assessment of human resources and working environment, which identified personal data protection as one of several key areas critical to the SEC’s performance of its core duties. Continuing its support of the SEC related to staff needs for education and training, a workshop will be held in the field of PDP, with a specific focus on topics relevant to the SEC’s work, including but not limited to data confidentiality, principles in the processing of personal data, transmission, exchange and handover of personal data, data security, risk management and other topics.

This event is closed and the chief target audience will be staff from the SEC’s Headquarters and Regional Offices involved in data handling/processing.
