Second Workshop for Community Mobilizers

Aiming to develop capacities of young people, representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO)s for public participation and community engagement, a second workshop with community mobilizers will be held from 11-13 November. Тhe emphasis of the workshop will be on approaches and techniques for mobilizing the community in holding political parties accountable for local elections 2021 promises and extend to which these electoral promises are envisaged to be implemented by the elected local government officials.

The specific objectives of this workshop include
– increasing the theoretical knowledge and understanding of NGO activists as community mobilizers on concepts such as community mobilization, community engagement, transparency and accountability of the elected public officials;
– developing the competencies of NGO activists to mobilize and engage with the community;
– equipping NGO activists as community mobilizers with knowledge, skills and attitudes to perform basic analyses of the performance of local governments;
– equipping community mobilizers with tools to perform monitoring and to measure the performance of local governments for the electoral promises and degree of implementation of these promises.
