Tetovo faces a critical lack of infrastructure supporting youth development and community participation, with no functional youth center for ages 15 to 29. This gap especially impacts marginalized, multiethnic, and low-income youth, contributing to exclusion, low civic engagement, and vulnerability to social risks.
The initiative will actively involve young people through surveys and focus groups to identify needs and co-create a youth center concept. An institutional analysis and stakeholder interviews will assess municipal capacity and potential spaces. Architects will help draft adaptation plans, while public events and a digital campaign will build broader community support.
Expected outcomes include a participatory youth center concept, increased community backing, and initial steps toward sustainable institutional and financial support.
