Kumanovo, one of North Macedonia’s largest cities, lacks a cinema, limiting access to contemporary and independent films, especially for youth and low-income families. Residents must travel to other cities, making cultural experiences costly and inaccessible.
This initiative proposes creating a concept for a summer open-air cinema—a flexible public space for screenings and cultural events. Through community consultations, it will identify suitable locations, programming, and budget needs.
Focused on public engagement, the project aims to raise awareness and prepare a solid proposal to guide future implementation, helping Kumanovo gain a modern, accessible cultural venue.
