Lipkovo faces a persistent lack of functional street lighting in many villages, especially in high-pedestrian areas during evening hours. This creates safety risks, limits mobility, and fuels insecurity—particularly affecting women, children, the elderly, and students—and hampers social and economic activity after dark.
The initiative will use field assessments and community consultations across 11 villages to identify priority locations for lighting improvements. Expert guidance will help develop a sustainable urban lighting plan focused on modern, energy-efficient, and solar-powered solutions.
With municipal coordination, public outreach, and an online awareness campaign, the project aims to deliver a ready-to-implement lighting plan, boost citizen advocacy, and lay the groundwork for attracting investments to enhance safety and quality of life in Lipkovo.
