Public Policy Academy

Party Youth

The Public Policy Academy is engaging youth wing representatives from political parties in a long-term learning process. The participants will learn how to create and influence public policies, which supports an evidence-based approach in public policy making, incorporating the basic values of democratic societies such as participation, active citizenship, and inclusion. The academy combines theoretical policy making sessions with the practical experience of developing and implementing policy responses.

Goal:

To enhance the competences of youth wing political party representatives to create and influence public policies.

Objectives:

To increase the knowledge and skills of youth wing representatives from political parties on:

  • identifying community problems in a participatory and inclusive way;
  • designing evidence and values-based policy responses to community problems;
  • presenting and communicating policies; developing policies briefs,
  • lobbying for the implementation of public policies; and
  • designing action plans to implement public policies.

Results:

After the Academy, youth wing representatives from political parties will know how to:
