One of the commitments from the Prespa Agreement was to deepen the mutual cooperation both at diplomatic level and among civil cross-border cooperation. The Government Program addresses this commitment by planning to re-open the border crossing point “Markova Noga-Lemos” and opening of Regional Centers for Cooperation and Dialogue. Through a variety of community mobilization activities, our Community Mobilizer Ana Klesova will engage with young people living in bordering region and municipalities such as Strumica, Valandovo and Gevgelija to discuss common interests and challenges that youth faces and identify possible ways for cross-border cooperation.
The first 2 discussions were held with the citizens in Gevgelija and Strumcica. Ana shared information about the measures and the 6 new border crosses with the neighboring countries, particularly the opening of the border crossing point Markova Noga and the establishment of the Regional Center for Dialogue- Prespa Forum.
The citizens were interested and opened many questions, given that good neighboring cooperation and mutual understanding is important for them, particularly the young people. There are numerous possibilities that are open for the youth through cross border cooperation, initiatives, projects and activities aiming to overcome mutual challenges.
Follow us and join our Community Mobilizer Ana Klesova if you want to learn more and be part of monitoring of this measure and promise brought by the Government.
