Lipkovo faces growing environmental and public hygiene challenges due to a severe shortage of waste bins in public spaces. This leads to widespread littering in streets, schools, playgrounds, sports fields, and bus stops, causing pollution, unpleasant conditions, and health risks—especially impacting children, students, and nearby residents.
Despite frequent citizen complaints, no systematic solution has been implemented, and existing bins are scattered without clear planning.
This initiative will use field research, mapping, surveys, and community consultations to develop a strategic waste bin placement plan. A pilot phase will install bins in priority areas, accompanied by an awareness campaign featuring a student-made video and local outreach.
The project aims to boost environmental awareness, enhance cleanliness, and lay the groundwork for a sustainable waste management system in Lipkovo.
