The Municipality of Bogovinje faces a serious lack of dedicated spaces for youth, especially in its rural villages. Young people often have no access to safe, functional, and inclusive environments where they can gather, learn, express themselves, or participate in community life. This infrastructural gap contributes to low levels of youth engagement, social isolation, and the erosion of their sense of belonging. Without proper support and spaces for interaction, young people are left without tools for personal development, peer connection, or civic participation.
This initiative aims to address this problem by conducting comprehensive research into the needs and priorities of young people in Bogovinje. Through surveys, focus groups, and consultations with youth, parents, and local institutions, the project will generate reliable data to guide planning. Based on the findings, a proposed design and implementation plan for youth centers will be developed in collaboration with architects and financial experts.
To strengthen ownership and transparency, the initiative will also include a community voting process to select the preferred design. The expected result is a clear, community-backed proposal for youth centers that are safe, functional, and financially feasible—creating space for youth creativity, socialization, empowerment, and long-term inclusion in local development.
