Political parties play a key role in creating a political culture without violence against women. This weekend in Ohrid, representatives from 13 political parties worked to improve their policies and practices to prevent and sanction violence against women in politics.
Through group work and open dialogue, they explored ways in which parties can act systematically, from adopting a Code of Conduct to concrete measures to support women involved in the electoral process. This is an important step towards creating a safer and more democratic political environment, especially in the run-up to the 2025 Local Elections.
