Last weekend, the fourth generation of the Academy for Public Policy continued its work in Shtip, with the successfully completed second module entitled “Interconnections: Political Parties in the Communities”. Participants discussed important topics such as the role of political ideologies, fostering intra-party democracy and engagement in local communities through advocacy and civic initiatives. Through conversation with alumni from previous generations, participants learned about inspiring examples of successful engagement and driving change in the community. The young leaders also worked to identify problems in their municipalities, in the areas of youth involvement, environment, infrastructure and vulnerable groups, on which they will base their innovative initiatives and propose solution(s) through public policies.
