A public presentation of the Bitola SmartAPPcity initiative was held on June 23 in Bitola, through which the implementer Andrej Gulabovski introduced the participants with the content and goals of the project, and heard the opinions of young people in the municipality.
Bitola SmartAPPcity is a package of reforms aimed at addressing the low involvement of the public in the preparation and implementation of the budget by examining the possibility of digitalization of certain relevant processes at the municipal level. The research on the content of the project was conducted by Simona Joveska, and the moderator of the event was Goran Joshevski. SDMM President Marko Mihailoski and SDMM Vice President Nikola Jakimovski also addressed the presentation.
The common message was clear: in their radical fight against corruption, young people must be vocal and offer changes that will restore citizens’ trust in institutions and, through modern digital services, increase the transparency of the municipal administration and public enterprises.
