Across the country, IFES organized roundtables to discuss the extent and impact of the participation of women from different ethnic communities in the 2024 Parliamentary elections. During the events, analyzes and recommendations were shared for greater involvement and representation of women in future election processes.

The activity was realized within the framework of the Election Support Programme, financed by the Government of Switzerland, and implemented by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).

During the roundtables, the international consultant on gender issues made the presentation of the Report on the participation of women from ethnic communities in the Parliamentary elections held in 2024. The purpose of the Report is to assess the extent and impact of the participation of women from ethnic communities in the 2024 Parliamentary elections. Also, the Analysis proposes measures and initiatives for greater and more effective involvement of women from different ethnic origins in the electoral process and in the political engagement.

The second part of the event was used for the presentation of the Analysis of the scope of gender issues in presidential candidates’ programs and the electoral programs of political parties and coalitions for the parliamentary elections, prepared within the framework of the Election Support Programme.
