Over the past week, we have successfully organized a series of workshops as part of our support for strengthening the research and analytical potential of political parties and coalitions, in order to improve their capacities for evidence-based policymaking. By investing in these capacities, political parties and coalitions are encouraged to promote more open, accountable and citizen-oriented policies and structures at the local level.
Through interactive sessions, practical exercises and simulations, led by international and local experts, participants upgraded their skills in evidence-based policymaking, field mobilization and strategic communication.
These workshops were implemented within the framework of the Swiss Electoral Support Programme, implemented by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), and are aimed at strengthening the capacities of political parties and coalitions in anticipation of the local elections.
