As part of the project “Support to Electoral Reforms”, a workshop will be held tomorrow with the Research and Analytical Centers (RAC) of political parties in the country.
Lolita Cigane, an international public policy consultant from Latvia, will also take part in the workshop. Cigane was an official visit to Skopje last year, when she met with representatives of the Research and Analytical Centers (IAC) of the four largest political parties to help political party leaders and activists create more successful public policies in their favor of their voters. At this workshop with the RACs, she will talk about how to improve their research and overcome weaknesses.
The draft handbook for research and public policy analysis will be presented at the workshop, as a tool for strengthening the research capacities of the RAC. There will be also a discussion on the applicability of the Manual and feedback on how to adapt it to the needs and capacities of the RAC.
The second part of the workshop will discuss the activities of 2021 and plans for 2022. The topics that the attendees will focus on are policy development in the political parties: an overview of the activities for 2021 and the plans for 2022, Unpacking policy-making processes: Discussion on the use of the policy-making cycle by political parties and window of opportunity: Discussion on optimal ways to implement evidence-based and research-based policy-making in RAC activities.
