With the implementation of the second module entitled “Youth Participation – Representation, Inclusion and Democratic Culture”, the Academy of Public Policy deepened its commitment to strengthening the capacities of young representatives of political parties. Participants had the opportunity to learn from experienced politicians, experts and practitioners from the country and the region and to discuss topics related to youth participation in politics, formal and informal pathways of political influence, as well as barriers that limit the meaningful participation of young people.
The module raised important questions about the true representation of youth and youth policies, the challenges within traditional political structures, as well as the opportunities for creating new, inclusive and responsible political practices.
The motivation, critical thinking, and engagement of the participants once again demonstrated that young people should play a key role in shaping the future of democracy.
